Amber Field has been teaching the Capstone class (CS 620) in the Computer Sciences department at UW-Madison since 2019.
Before coming to UW-Madison, Amber held a wide variety of positions, including the following:

Head of Operations - O2 Agility (Arlington, VA)
Co-Founder Agile Consulting Company - Opower/Oracle (Arlington, VA)
Agile Program Manager / Head of Agile PMO - National Geographic (Washington, DC)
Senior Project Manager - IBM (Rochester, MN)

Amber’s career in tech has taken her to some exciting and far flung places, and she’s experienced a wide variety of
- Volunteered with the African Wildlife Foundation in Tanzania
- Ate lunch with an explorer and his wolf & met Alex Trebek
- Guest Lectured at Harvard Business School – PM 102
- Saved enough energy to shut down the Hoover Dam
- LOTS of conference speaking
- Developed and ran two mentoring programs
- Received a patent for Integrated documentation & application testing
- Wrote a book!
