Amber Field

Amber Field has been teaching the Capstone class (CS 620) in the Computer Sciences department at UW-Madison since 2019.

Before coming to UW-Madison, Amber held a wide variety of positions, including the following:

Amber’s career in tech has taken her to some exciting and far flung places, and she’s experienced a wide variety of

  • Volunteered with the African Wildlife Foundation in Tanzania
  • Ate lunch with an explorer and his wolf & met Alex Trebek
  • Guest Lectured at Harvard Business School – PM 102
  • Saved enough energy to shut down the Hoover Dam
  • LOTS of conference speaking
  • Developed and ran two mentoring programs
  • Received a patent for Integrated documentation & application testing
  • Wrote a book!
