Paul Barford and Stephen Wright, along with their collaborators, have been awarded the Test of Time Paper Award for 2019 by IEEE INFOCOM. “Power Awareness in Network Design and Routing,” by Joseph Chabarek, Joel Sommers, Paul Barford, Cristian Estan, David Tsiang, and Stephen Wright, was published in 2008 in Proc. of IEEE INFOCOM.“I know I speak for my co-authors when I say that we are deeply honored to receive this recognition from IEEE INFOCOM,” says Barford. “This work represents a collaboration of researchers in the fields of computer networking and optimization along with practitioners who provided key insights on the state of the art. This award is a testament to the hard efforts of the team and how people with diverse skill sets can come together to create solutions that have a lasting impact.”
The IEEE INFOCOM Test of Time Paper Award recognizes papers published between 10 to 12 years ago (a three-year window) in the INFOCOM proceedings that have been most cited and widely recognized to have a significant impact on the research community.
