The Computer Sciences Department finished the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s 2021 Day of the Badger fundraising effort on April 7 with 132 individual donations for a total of $29.5K – over three times more donors and donations than the last Day of the Badger in 2019. This was made possible by the generosity of our donors – we are extremely grateful.
Day of the Badger is a 1,848-minute philanthropic event to support UW–Madison. This year, it began at 10:12 a.m. CDT on April 6 and ran until 5:00 p.m. CDT on April 7. Day of the Badger lasts for 1,848 minutes to commemorate the year in which the University of Wisconsin was legislated into being: the year Wisconsin became a state: 1848.
The Computer Sciences Department finished third in number of donations and fourth in total amount of donations of the departments in the College of Letters and Sciences, before applying second-day donation matches.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated and to those who organized and assisted with the event!
