The Behavior, Information, and Technology lab (BITLab) at Michigan State University works on a wide range of projects that encompass Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, and Social Science. As an interdisciplinary lab, we provide students with the opportunity to work on research projects with the potential to improve our understanding of how technology and people affect each other. The majority of our research projects are team-based and involve both technical computer science and social / behavioral components.
All applicants must be enrolled as students working toward a bachelor's degree in computer science / computer engineering / information technology (or equivalent accredited degree) in time for targeted start date of summer 2015. Software engineering tasks include: code design, writing, porting; testing and debugging; customer support; document and interface design; project management; and system and network administration.
The 2015 application cycle has begun for our Summer Internship Program at the Information Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory. This is a paid summer internship opportunity for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university at the freshman level through PhD level (U.S. CITIZENS ONLY) to work on-site with AFRL researchers on a wide variety of research projects.
