Faisal Mushtaq is a trusted Board Director, Senior Advisor, and prior CEO who has successfully unlocked and accelerated revenue velocity, turned around profitability, and created value at some of the largest public healthcare technology companies including Change Healthcare (NASDAQ: CHNG), Allscripts Healthcare (NASDAQ: MDRX), and Neoforma (NASDAQ: NEOF), and at growth-focused private equity firms. Currently serving on the Board of three PE-backed businesses ranging from $25M to $400M, Faisal brings a unique blend of expertise, including a foundation in technology, engineering, and product with early roles as Chief Product Officer; deep understanding of the healthcare technology market; commercial success across the entire healthcare value chain from health systems and clinical to providers and pharma; and two decades as a Founder, turn-around leader, and growth driver for SaaS-based businesses in healthcare data, clinical interoperability, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Patient Access and clinical trials recruitment
An Operating Partner and Senior Advisor at Frazier Healthcare Partners, a healthcare-focused investment firm based in Seattle, Faisal is helping drive growth of several of Frasier’s portfolio companies primarily focused on revenue cycle management solutions, value-based care, and innovation in essential healthcare services. As Data and AI Center of Excellence Expert for the firm, he is helping envision and implement AI strategy across the portfolio. Faisal is also a Director of two Frazier companies: Vatica Health Inc., offering a provider-centric model for risk adjustment and value-based reimbursement; and RevSpring, a leader in patient and consumer engagement and payment solutions. Faisal mentors the CEOs on commercial and product initiatives and AI driven business process automation.
Faisal also serves as an Independent Board Director of Copilot Provider Support Services in Orlando, Florida, acquired by QHP Private Equity in 2022 from its Founders. Copilot is a provider of Specialty Hub Services using best technologies to simplify provider support services and healthcare processes to deliver a unique customer experience. Faisal supports and mentors the CEO with commercial strategies, portfolio planning, organizational strategies, and Board operating and strategic frameworks. Previously, he served on the Boards of Commonwell Alliance, a leader in driving health data exchange to help improve care coordination and health outcomes nationwide, and BEKHealth, leveraging an AI-powered patient-matching platform to identify more clinically qualified patients for clinical research.
Faisal completed the Advanced Management Program and the Corporate Board Program at the Harvard Business School. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Faisal has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences such as CNBC’s Healthy Returns Summit. He has co-authored four patents in sentiment analysis (Natural Language Processing) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques for processing large data sets.
