Prof. Akella selected for H.I. Romnes Faculty Fellowship

The department is pleased to share the news that Prof. Aditya Akella has been selected for an H.I. Romnes Faculty Fellowship, a major campus honor. The award includes research support that may be used over a period of five years.

Romnes Fellowships recognize exceptional faculty members who have earned tenure within the last six years. The award is named for the late H.I. Romnes, former chairman of the board of AT&T and former president of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) Board of Trustees.

The award is provided by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education, with funding from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.

Prof. Akella is part of the Wisconsin Internet and Systems Research (WISR) Lab and Wisconsin Institute on Software-defined Datacenters in Madison (WISDoM). He is also one of the principal investigators leading CloudLab.
