AI-Assisted Vision: Opportunities and Challenges of Intelligent Assistive Technologies for Blind and Low Vision Individuals
The madAbility research lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will host the first mini-workshop on “AI-assisted Vision” to explore the open space of intelligent assistive technologies for blind and low vision individuals. The advance of computing technology, such as AI, brings unique opportunities to assistive technologies. The goal of this event is to bring together the blind and low vision communities, vision rehabilitation professionals, and assistive technology researchers and designers, to discuss the challenges and collaboration opportunities to ensure suitable technology design and development for the blind and low vision communities.
