The Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) Neuroimaging Group is seeking a Data Engineer who has a background in image processing, tool development and automation, management of research data, and supporting a research team. This position supports cutting edge research pertaining to amyloid and tau PET imaging, structural MRI, blood and cerebrospinal fluid datasets and cognitive decline in people at risk for Alzheimer’s Disease. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, analytic thinking and ability to apply technical innovation to clinically relevant problems. Additionally, the position requires the ability to manage and complete projects independently and within a team environment
The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer sciences, or life science field such as neuroscience. The applicant should possess the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team. Experience with Linux and one or more programming languages is required. Experience with Python, shell scripting, Ruby on Rails and MySQL is preferred. Experience with MRI/PET is helpful. Ability to work with and customize data management tools is required.
