Business Analyst Intern (Deadline 6/11/21)

Does the idea of extracting data from different data sources and putting them together to build a compelling application for a Customer Management team to use sound interesting?  Do you like to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams? Are you interested in learning from and working with our Director of Customer Solutions and Director of Product Marketing? As a Business Analyst Intern at Wellbe, you will have these opportunities plus more. The work you’ll be a part of will impact Wellbe’s business growth.

Wellbe is headquartered in Madison, WI, but this is a remote position. This position is non-exempt, part-time (15-20 hours/week), is to start in early/mid June and will last approximately three months. We are willing to work around your summer/school schedule.

How you will add value:

  • Use Definitive Healthcare to extract Healthcare claims related information to help us evaluate a customers market share, etc

  • Use US Census data to extract market level data to evaluate potential market growth opportunities

  • Combine the data sources above to create an application to quickly develop market analyses and potential ROI, including visualizations, to assist in our growth strategy

  • Work with Wellbe’s Directors to develop an ROI model that can be used with organizations to show value opportunity

  • Assist with developing Business Cases for Automated Workflows

  • Work collaboratively with account leads to create visual templates that combine market information with value proposition

  • Work through the process of incorporating Definitive Healthcare data into our Zendesk Sell CRM

  • Assist with building updated pricing model spreadsheets

Knowledge and skills you need to be successful:

  1. Proficient user of Microsoft and Google products, specifically Excel and Sheets

  2. Able to query APIs from a variety of sources

  3. Possess strong problem solving skills – able to define a problem, analyze the situation, and communicate clearly the problem and potential solutions to your team

  4. Possess strong interpersonal skills, find play working in a collaborative team environment over Zoom, and are still able to work asynchronously

  5. Possess strong research skills – able to search for, locate, extract, organize, and evaluate key prospect and market information

  6. Able to interpret industry and market data, using quantitative analysis to develop a business case, including ROI scenarios, and summarize data to develop reports containing customer value proposition

  7. Detail-oriented, process-driven and self-starter

Experience required:

  • At a minimum senior in undergraduate school; currently pursuing an MBA is preferred

  • Intermediate to experienced skill-level in:

    • Visualizing data in effective ways to tell a story

    • Building spreadsheets based on a variety of variables to calculate values

    • Compiling data and creating effective charts using Excel or Sheets

    • Conducting research, compiling, and analyzing the findings

  • Intermediate experience managing small projects

  • Intermediate experience solving problems
