Qualifications and requirements (including undergrad or grad degree completed or in progress):

  • Extensive experience developing in React Native, or experience with Swift / Objective C and the XCode tool set. We are currently using React native with the Expo client libraries
  • Extensive experience developing for iOS (user guidelines, experience design standards, and submission process)
  • Experience with Firebase, Cloud Firestore, Redux, and Elasticsearch
  • Experience with front-end design tools such as Zeplin or Invision
  • Extensive experience building efficient and maintainable software systems
  • High-growth technology company experience
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent
  • Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance – be an owner
  • Comfortable working remotely
  • Passion for technology and communications, well-versed on the latest trends

  • Degree in progress will be considered depending on experience

Job description (including full or part time; internship, temporary, or permanent position):

As our Lead Mobile Developer you will:

  • Develop and release the MVP app (React Native development for a native iOS app)
  • Be the front-line for production support for the iOS application
  • Help the Head of Technology to define the technical discipline including: process, documentation, and tools

As a small company, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, proactive, and also a team player. You will also be helping to define the way the development team works, how the process is defined, and releasing the MVP app. If you are not comfortable managing your time, solving problems with limited direction, or communicating with a cross-functional team, this is not the role for you.

We are flexible with how this role will be officially staffed. If the fit is right, we can discuss options. The objective is to turn this into a role that evolves into a head of technology type role at the organization.
