Product Engineering Software (PES)

NX Visualization

As an intern in Product Engineering Software (PES), you will dive into developing our premiere NX CAD software. In this role, you may perform design and software programming for NX, business analytics, prototypes for new releases, automated tests, test results analysis, etc., with a focus on surpassing customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers and push the limits on our project teams to:

Learn our software needs and functionality, following the various steps in the Software Development Lifecycle Process (SDLC)

  • Create, document, and execute software designs for focused product areas
  • Draft design and coding documentation for future development expansion
  • Define a wide range of functionality solutions to support industry workflows
  • Assist in maintaining our existing software product by analyzing and defining solutions to reported problems
  • Interactively test NX through scheduled automated suites
  • Analyze test results and provide insights on detected problems
  • Design and implement new test cases

Organization Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or a first year Master’s student, in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Junior or senior status preferred
  • Strong background in object oriented programming – able to write clean, robust code to minimize the cost of defects over time, specifically in C or C++
  • Product development experience is beneficial but not required
  • Background or interest in OpenGL graphics development
  • Passionate, driven, and proactive
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
