The authenticated printer gateway will allow you to submit jobs from a remote host to any Computer Science or Statistics printer you regulary have access to. The remote host must be capable of printing via LPR and have an SSH client which is used for authentication.

Setup

Follow the instructions on setting up printing from the CS wireless network located at WirelessLaptopNetworkHowTo. For the 'Printer Name' use print-authgw.cs.wisc.edu.

Authentication

Similar to the CS wireless network, use an SSH client to connect to print-authgw.cs.wisc.edu using your normal Computer Science username and password. Once authenticated the printing gateway will accept print requests from your host.
