Beard Off Competition
Two years running (2006/2007 and 2008), the beard-off has invited CS students and staff to partake in a competition of facial hair. There is a glamorous rotating trophy that goes along with winning the competition.
The Competition
The contestants must check-in at a specified time and place. After which, they have 6 weeks to grow facial hair (by any means possible). After 6 weeks, there are two days of judging. The first day entails "objective" judging (which includes an infamous absorbency test) while the second day is "flair" judging.
