The computer security and cryptography group works on discovering, understanding, and countering malicious behavior on or against information technologies. Our work spans a broad range of topics, from low-level software and hardware security, operational security of huge distributed systems, applied and theoretical cryptography, and more.
Security SeminarThe security seminar hosts talks from UW and external speakers. The seminar takes place every other Monday at 4 PM. On certain occasions we have special seminar times.
