Why Give to the Computer Sciences Department?

The generosity of alumni and friends supports many special CS projects that greatly enhance our world class education and research mission, such as undergraduate scholarships, summer Research Assistantships for undergraduates and first-year graduate students, alumni scholarships for the top admits to our graduate program, graduate fellowships for our Ph.D. students, early recruitment of new faculty in key emerging areas, professorships for our most accomplished senior faculty, and distinctive renovations in the CS building. Hence, gift dollars are responsible for much of the Computer Sciences Department's progress, enabling us to recruit and retain top faculty, recruit top graduate students, and recognize outstanding achievement by students and faculty at all levels.
