Now is the time to apply for an AccessComputing Summer REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates). Through an REU experience, students are directly involved in computing research in a university. This allows students who are considering graduate school to learn more about the research process and makes them more competitive applicants for graduate school. The AccessComputing REU program places computing students with disabilities in computing research projects at colleges and universities. Most often, we work with students to locate research opportunities in their own communities.
Students are paid a stipend and participate in professional development activities throughout the summer. Funding for housing and/or travel expenses may be available for students placed in REUs at universities other than their home institution.
