On Tuesday, May 3, computer sciences undergraduate Nathan Jay was presented with a Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship by UW-Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank. The fellowships, which are competitively awarded, support undergraduate research done in collaboration with UW–Madison faculty or research/instructional academic staff.
Jay is a junior from West Bend, Wis. The focus of Jay's grant award will be on pseudo-random testing of binary decoders, which are essential tools in computer security as well as high-performance computing. For the grant, Jay will work with Professor Bart Miller.
