Prof. Andrea Arpaci-Dusseau to receive Van Hise Outreach Teaching Award

The UW-Madison Distinguished Teaching Awards Committee has announced that Professor Andrea Arpaci-Dusseau has been selected for the Van Hise Outreach Teaching Award, a campus-wide honor.  Chancellor Rebecca Blank and Provost Sarah Mangelsdorf will present this year’s teaching awards at a ceremony to be held on Thursday, March 16, at 5:00 PM at the Fluno Center on campus.

Among her other accomplishments, Prof. Arpaci-Dusseau created CS 402, a service-learning course in which UW students learn how to teach CS concepts to K-12 students in local communities. Learn more about the course in this fun, four-minute video.
