UW alumni, former professor honored at ISCA for influential research

At ISCA 2016 (the 43rd ACM/IEEE International Symposium on Computer Architecture), held June 18-22 in Seoul, Korea, former UW-Madison students Brian Fields and Shai Rubin received an award for their 2001 ISCA paper, "Focusing Processor Policies via Critical-Path Prediction."  Their award (a "test of time" award) is the ACM SIGARCH and IEEE-CS TCCA ISCA Influential Paper Award.

The work was done during their time at UW-Madison along with Professor Ras Bodik (who is now on the faculty at the University of Washington).  Congratulations, all!
