Professor of Computer Sciences AnHai Doan has been named a Vilas Associate by the UW-Madison Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education, which states "The Vilas Associates Competition recognizes new and ongoing research of the highest quality and significance. Recipients are chosen competitively by the divisional Research Committees on the basis of a detailed proposal."
Doan's research interests cover databases, artificial intelligence and the Web, with a current focus on data integration, schema and ontology matching, information extraction, text management, social media, crowdsourcing and human computation.
