Job Description:

IBM is offering a full-time internship for the remainder of 2007 to support

collaborative work between IBM, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the

Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE,

University of Wisconsin - Madison). The internship will be based at SAGE, in Madison.

The IBM Intern will be the primary software developer for a simulation

modeling system for large river basins. He/she will combine

code from various land surface, ecological and hydrologic simulation

models, depending on data availability, and will work with IBM, TNC and SAGE

staff to determine the optimum simulation model code language and data

formats. The successful candidate will have documented programming

experience, including scientific programming and data format conversion.

Experience with FORTRAN and C is a must. Knowledge of netCDF and Python is

a plus.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment
