At the 30th International Conference on Machine Learning, Professor
Xiaojin Zhu and co-authors Zoubin Ghahramani and John Lafferty received
the 2013 Classic Paper Prize for their paper "Semi-Supervised Learning
Using Gaussian Fields and Harmonic Functions." According to ICML, this
prize recognizes papers that time and hindsight proved to be of lasting
value to the machine learning community. Their paper was published at ICML
in 2003. ICML 2013 was held in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 16 through 21,
2013.
