Textbook
|
There are no required books. Most readings will be provided electronically. Depending on the arrangement with the publisher, you might need to pay for a "course package" containing parts of the upcoming 3rd edition of Real-Time Rendering.
Many books will be on reserve at Wendt library. The list is here
You might want to buy a book on the OpenGL Shading language, since you will be using that for at least one assignment. However, you might not want to pay for the book if you're only going to use it for the class.

Computing Environment
|
This class will use the "collaboration lab" (1358 CS). These machines will be updated to run WindowsXP, and to have good (NVidia 8600GT) graphics cards just for this purpose.
You are welcome to work on any other machine you have access to. However, your programs must ultimately be run on the machines in 1358. If it doesn't run on the machines in 1358, it doesn't run.
