At first, it seemed as if it was just a normal Sunday night in Pleasantville.

You only moved there a couple of months ago to take a job as an algorithms professor at Pleasantville University in town, and so far, everything seems pretty quiet. Just like any other Sunday, you cleaned the house, organizing and planned out your week and set out just after dark to take your trusty Labrador, Trevor, for a walk. Though Trevor is quite a energetic dog, tonight he has far more energy than usual. All during your walk, you are fighting against his seemingly boundless energy, struggling to even hold onto his leash. Focusing on keeping a hold on the leash, you barely realize that after only a half an hour, you and Trevor have wandered to the old, abandoned part of town. Eventually, you come to the old Pleasantville nuclear power plant, abandoned since the meltdown of 1977. Trevor is barking loudly at the building and refusing to move in any direction other than inside. Reluctantly, you decide that you will walk around a little in the building with Trevor since he is refusing to continue your walk without first entering. There seems to be no harm in just a quick five-minute walk-through before you walk back home. Besides, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission certified the building as nonhazardous in 1983. As you walk in, there seems to be nothing peculiar about the building. You and Trevor walk around and finally, after walking through the whole first floor, Trevor has gotten bored and you start walking him out. You see a light in the distance and start walking toward it. As you come closer, you realize that it is a door leading outside, albeit a different door than the one through which you entered. As you come closer to the door, eager to briskly walk home and get a good night sleep before you wake up early for your tough day of work the next morning, you take a step and feel your left foot miss the ground. It is too late to lean backward onto your right foot. Your weight continues to shift to your left foot which is still not touching solid ground. As you fall, you hear Trevor howl in fear and then everything goes black. When you wake, you feel groggy and your head is pounding. Where am I? Then you remember everything, the walk you were on, the abandoned nuclear plant, Trevor..wait...Trevor...where is Trevor? Before you can think any further, you glance up and see a hideous zombie stumbling toward you.

Where on earth are you? The hole, the basement...the Nuclear Regulatory Commission...they must have not seen the basement and forgot to decontaminate it! It is now 2008...that means that this place has been breeding zombies for over thirty years! How many of them are there? As you look around, you realize there must be dozens more of them! Luckily, you were carrying your usual nighttime dog-walk self-defense kit containing a shotgun, a machine gun, a pistol and some bombs. Also, the zombies, they don't seem very smart, it seems that they are following somewhat predictable paths that you have seen before, paths that resemble something only an algorithms professor would recognize...Dijkstra's...no...Byrne's...no...what is it? Floyd-Warshall! Yes! That is it! For gosh sakes, it's Floyd-Warshall! Maybe, just maybe, with your guns, bombs, minimap (aren't the things you find in your pockets just crazy!) and algorithms knowledge you can find Trevor and get out of the plant before the zombies kill you. You must try. For if you don't, you and Trevor both will be devoured by the Mutant Floyd-Warshall Zombies.
