Play a Game! (and write a review)

Yes, you have just been asked to play a game for college credit!

Spend some time playing a game of your choosing. Pick something that appeals to you. You can spend more time with something that you've already played, or pick something new.

Then, write a review of it. A review should talk about what the game is, and what is good and bad about it. Please include anything that you feel is important to tell someone who has never played the game before. You don't need to write the extensive in-depth treatises like on a game review website, but you do should cover the high points.

Game reviews are an important part of the gaming industry.

Turning it in

Before class on Tuesday (9:30am, 1/30), you will need to post your review on your personal page of this website. In order to do that, you need to make sure you have a personal page on this website and figure out how to use it.

The class website is done using Wiki software (pmwiki), and learning enough about it to turn things in for class is part of this assignment.

Rachel (the TA) will need to setup an account for you. We recommend that you visit her in person so that you can set your password.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to request your personal wiki page well in advance so that you have time to post your review before class.
