The Computer Sciences Department at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison has two faculty openings:
- We have one opening in the area of database management systems.
Individuals will be considered at all levels, including tenure track assistant
professor, associate professor, or full professor,
depending upon the qualifications of the candidate.

We have one opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
We invite applications from outstanding candidates in all areas of
Computer Science.
The department is pleased to be a recipient of a Clare Boothe
Luce Professorship, which provides discretionary research
funding in addition to salary for an outstanding junior, US citizen or
permanent resident, woman faculty member. Should the successful candidate
for either position meet these requirements, the
Department intends to offer the Professorship subject to final approval by the
Henry Luce Foundation.
For each position,
applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or in a closely related
field, and demonstrated strength in scholarly research. Successful
candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level,
in addition to establishing a significant and highly-visible research program.
