There is a large, active, and effective market for placing ads on the Internet.
We will describe currently popular systems for sponsored search as
well as the ad exchange for trading display ads on the Internet. We
will also present example research problems. Unique problems tend to
be on the boundary of Economics, Auctions, Game Theory and Computer
Science aspects including algorithms, optimization and data mining.
