I. About SYSU 
Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, enjoys an educational tradition spanning over 100 years. Under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and strongly supported by both the Ministry and Guangdong Province, SYSU has developed into a modern comprehensive university that enjoys a reputation as a top-tier university nationally and a renowned university internationally. The University is composed of five campuses in the three cities of Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Shenzhen, and ten affiliated hospitals. 
In addition, SYSU has a wide range of disciplines with the postgraduate education covering all disciplines except for military science, becoming one of the higher education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Education with the most comprehensive disciplines. Currently, SYSU has 49 Doctoral Degree granting disciplines (first-level), 59 Masters’ Degree-granting disciplines (first-level), four professional doctorate degree categories, and 33 professional master degree categories. 

II. Brief Introduction to the School of Software Engineering
The School of Software Engineering (Zhuhai) at Sun Yat-sen University was officially established in June 2020. As a teaching and research unit with a complete system, the School of Software Engineering has programs of undergraduate and postgraduate (master and Ph.D.) education.
Located in Zhuhai, one of the world’s most livable cities, the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University has blue sky, white clouds and golden beach. Moreover, the Zhuhai Campus is well equipped with affiliated hospitals, affiliated kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools, which bring great convenience to teachers and staffs.
Excellent alumni of software engineering are all over the world, including industry experts, scholars, professors, outstanding entrepreneurs leading cadres, etc. In recent years, many young alumni have been active in all walks of life, promoting the accelerated integration of traditional industries, professions and new technologies such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of things and artificial intelligence. They have been making great contributions to the development of China's manufacturing, economic and society.

IV. Job Openings and Description
1. Talents of the Hundred-Talent Program
(1) Leading Talents (Professor): 
Applicants should engage in research work with significant innovation, development prospects, and key generic technology, and have landmark achievements with important innovation and major impact.
Preferably under 50 years of age.
 
(2) Outstanding Young Talents (Professor & Associate Professor):
Applicants should have particularly excellent scientific research results and technological innovation potential in research fields with important innovation prospects.
Recognized professional achievements at home and abroad.
Publications in top international academic journals as the first or corresponding author.
Preferably under 40 years of age.
 
(3) Key Young Talents (Associate Professor):
Applicants should have a strong innovative ability, great development potential, and high-level and innovative professional achievements.
Preferably under 35 years of age.
 
(4) Assistant Professors:
Applicants should obtain bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees at prestigious universities or research institutes.
Excellent research outcomes and great development potential.
Preferably under 35 years of age.
 
2. Research Fellows
(1) Research Fellows:
Applicants should have significant academic potential and outstanding research outcomes (no less than 3 outstanding academic publications in principle; for those with outstanding results, the number of publications can be appropriately reduced).
Work experience as postdoctoral fellows, lecturers, or assistant professors at prestigious universities or research institutions.
Experience as principal investigator for at least one scientific research project at the provincial/ministerial level or above (applicants from overseas not required).
Preferably under the age of 38.
 

(2) Research Associates:
Applicants should obtain a Ph.D. degree or have experience as a postdoctoral fellow at prestigious universities or research institutes.
Great academic potential and excellent scientific research results (no less than 2 academic publications in principle; for those with outstanding results, the number of publications can be reduced to 1).
Preferably under the age of 38.
 
(3) Postdoctoral Fellows:
Applicants should obtain a Ph.D. degree for no more than 3 years
High academic standard and strong scientific research ability.
Preferably under 35 years of age.
