We are considering strongly qualified candidates for one postdoctoral and two doctoral positions in Helsinki, Finland. Successful applicants will work on the project Model Management Systems: Machine Learning meets Database Systems (MLDB). The project is funded by the Academy of Finland and hosted jointly by Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. MLDB aspires to develop a computational framework and associated techniques towards model management systems, i.e., systems that allow users to focus on specifying predictive tasks with limited direct involvement in lower-level decisions for the management of data, models, and computational resources. Requirements: strong analytical and coding skills; master’s level background in machine learning, data management, or related field. Strong reference letters and previous research experience are considered a plus. The duration of the contracts is 2 years for the postdoctoral position and 4 years for the doctoral positions. How to apply: Applications for the doctoral positions are accepted via the Helsinki ICT call for doctoral positions.
