As the network technologies become faster and the software development environments become more intelligent, there is an inherent requirement to understand the user needs and to propose new advanced, more secure and more adaptive applications for effectively managing cultural information. In these fields, there exists a need for an edited collection of chapters. Handbook of Research on Technologies and Cultural Heritage: Applications and Environments will aim to negotiate the issues related to the effective designing, development and deployment of information systems for promoting and managing cultural information. The handbook will focus on the practical aspects of developing successful information systems for managing cultural heritage exhibits or cultural events, but will also seek chapters on the theoretical underpinnings of information systems for the domain of culture.
