Important dates for workshop proposals
    Submission deadline: August 4, 2008
    Notification: August 25, 2008
DASFAA is an annual premium international database conference, located in the Asia-Pacific region, which showcases state-of-the-art R & D activities in database systems and their advanced applications. It provides a forum for technical presentations and discussions among database researchers, developers and users from academia, business and industry. DASFAA 2009, the 14th in the series, will be held from 21-23 April 2009 in Brisbane, Australia.
We invite proposals for DASFAA 2009 workshops. Workshops will be held at the same location as the main conference. Proposals should include the following information: 
* workshop title, brief description about the workshop, including a list of topics 
* brief explanation on why the proposed workshop is of interest to the DASFAA 2009 attendees
* name and contact information of the organiser(s) 
* names of a list of intended PC members for the workshop 
* the length (up to 2 days) and the format of the workshop 
* important dates  
* the expected number of attendees 
* brief introduction of the organisers, explaining their qualifications 

All papers accepted by DASFAA 2009 workshops will be published in a combined volume of Lecturer Notes in Computer Science series published by Springer (pending for approval). All workshop chairs will be a co-editor of the proceedings. All workshops will benefit from the registration process of DASFAA 2009 (we will have a single registration for conferences, workshops and tutorials). The workshop organizer(s) will be responsible for advertising the workshop, reviewing and selecting the papers. Proposals should be sent as e-mail attachments to both of the workshops chairs by August 4, 2008. Enquiries can also be sent to the workshops chairs.
