20th International Conference on
Scientific and Statistical Database Management (SSDBM)
July 9-11, 2008, Hong Kong, China
			http://i.cs.hku.hk/~ssdbm/

The International Conference on Scientific and Statistical
Database Management (SSDBM) is an established forum for the
exchange of the latest research results on concepts, tools,
and techniques for scientific and statistical database
applications. The 2008 meeting marks the twentieth time that
scientific domain experts, databases researchers, practitioners
and developers will come together to share their new insights
and to discuss in a stimulating environment future research
directions.

SSDBM 2008 includes an exciting program, which has now been
posted at the conference website. It consists of 3 keynote
talks, 28 long and 7 short papers to be presented in 9 sessions,
and 8 posters and demonstrations to be presented in a single
session.

The conference will be held in Lecture Theatre A, Chow Yei Ching
Building, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong.

In addition to the technical program, the conference features
a reception and a banquet at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, which
indeed floats in the waters of Aberdeen Harbour.

Registration is now open:
Visit http://i.cs.hku.hk/~ssdbm/ and click on 'Registration'.
The deadline for early bird registration is June 15, 2008.

SSDBM 2008 has reserved special prices for three hotels near the
conference venue. Participants are requested to communicate
directly with the hotels by faxing the corresponding reservation
forms to them. Reservation deadline for the special rates is
June 6, 2008.

We look forward to seeing you at SSDBM 2008 in Hong Kong!
