FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS

After the successful organization of the 1st International Conference on Information 
Systems Security (ICISS) at Jadavpur University, India, the 2nd conference will be 
organized by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India. The proceedings of the first 
conference has been published as Volume No.3803 in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science
series of Springer Verlag. The acceptance ratio of the first conference was 25%.  

ICISS conference presents a forum for disseminating the latest research results in 
Information Systems Security and related areas.Topics of interest include but are not 
limited to:
 Authentication and Access Control
 Mobile Code Security
 Key Management and Cryptographic Protocols
 E-Business / E-Commerce Security
 Privacy And Anonymity 
 Intrusion Detection and Avoidance
 Security Verification
 Database and Application Security and Integrity
 Digital Rights Management
 Security In P2P, Sensor and Ad Hoc Networks
 Secure Web Services
 Fault Tolerance and Recovery Methods For Security Infrastructure
 Threats, Vulnerabilities and Risk Management
 Commercial and Industrial Security

Paper Submission:
Papers should at most be of 15 pages including the bibliography and 
well-marked appendices. Reviewers may not read the appendices, and 
so the paper should be intelligible without them. 
Submission instructions will be posted at the conference web site 
later. One of the authors of an accepted paper must register for 
the conference to present the paper. 

Dual Submission Policy :
Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been 
published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference 
with proceedings. 

On going Research Reports :
There will be two sessions to present reports on the current research projects.
One session will be for academic institutions and the other for the industrial 
establishments. The research reports should be submitted in the same way as 
the technical papers. A report should maximum be of 4 pages.

All papers and research reports should be formatted using Lecture Notes in
Computer Science (LNCS) style. Paper submissions will be electronic only. 
Only pdf files will be accepted. Please do not submit MS Word documents.
Formatting guide and style sheets (for both LaTeX) and  MS Word are available 
from Springer LNCS site.
Camera-Ready manuscript must be submitted in Latex.
  
Tutorial Proposals:
There will be tutorial program for two days (17-18 Dec.2006). At most four 
three-hour tutorials will be offered. Proposals are invited for tutorials 
of duration three hours on relevant topics of current interest. A 
tutorial proposal should include the extended abstract of the tutorial
and a brief biography of the speaker(s). Please mail your proposal to 
the Tutorial Chair by July 10, 2006. The speaker(s) of the accepted 
proposals need to submit final presentation one month before the 
conference to the Tutorial Chair.

Proceedings: 
Conference Proceedings will be published in Springer LNCS series.

Submission of Camera-Ready Manuscript:	August 14, 2006
