CS Server-Side Includes for the New Dept Web Pages

You can use the following "server-side includes" on your own web pages to make them match the look of the department pages.

IMPORTANT: copy the HTML from this browser window instead of the "View Source" window. Our web server processes the include's -- directly inserting the file into the page. Hence, the source sent to a browser will not contain the include tags, but will instead contain the contents of the included files.

ALSO IMPORTANT: if you use any of these you'll have to set the execute bit on your html files: 

      chmod a+rx <html file>

Colors and Stuff

Include the following line in the <head> section of your page to set default colors:

Include the following line VERBATIM to get the header shown below (notice this is very close to an HTML comment, and in fact, if you put a space between "--" and "#" it will become a comment ...).
