Dept on March 4, 2002, included presentations on new Condor features,
ongoing Condor research, and experience with the Condor system.
Condor Tutorial at First EuroGlobus Workshop 2001
This talk was presented as a 2-hour introductory tutorial on Condor at the
First EuroGlobus Workshop
in Lecce, Italy on June 2001. In addition to introducing Condor, it explains several of
Condor's mechanisms for working in a Grid-based computing environment. Condor-G is also
presented.

NCSA Industrial Partners Presentation
This talk was presented at NCSA on April 30, 1997 to the NCSA
Industrial Partners. It presents a high-level overview of Condor
and also presented some examples of how Condor has impacted computing
at the University of Wisconsin. (HTML) (PowerPoint97)
High Throughput Computing
The talk outlines the overall architecture of Condor
and discuss the interaction between the different layers.
It presents the principals that have been guiding the
Condor Team and the
lessons we have learned from deploying Condor in real-life
High Throughput Computing environments that support customers
with a wide range of computing needs.
The role, expectations, and needs of resource owners,
system administrators, and consumers, in a High Throughput Computing
environments is discussed. (Postscript)
Matchmaking for High Throughput Computing
The talk describes the role matchmaking plays in the Condor
High Throughput Computing system. The concept of Classified Ads
is introduced and their structure and capabilities presented.

PVM UG '95 Advanced Tutorial
Covers the use of the Resource Manager, Hoster, and Tasker hooks in
PVM. Presented as part of the Advanced Tutorial at the PVM User's
Group meeting May 7, 1995 in Pittsburgh. (Postscript)
Java Grande Workshop Slides
The
Java Grande Forum
seeks to promote the use of Java for such applications as
- High Performance Network Computing,
- Scientific and Engineering Computation,
- (Distributed) Modeling and Simulation,
- Parallel and Distributed Computing,
- Data Intensive Computing,
- Communication and Computing Intensive Commercial and Academic Applications,
- HPCC, and
- Computational Grids.
These slides are from a presentation at the Third Java Grande Forum meeting,
August 6-7, 1998 in Palo Alto.
They provide an overview of Condor, with specific emphasis on Condor and Java
from two perspectives: Java as an implementation platform for Condor
superstructure and Condor as a platform for running Grande applications.
