What do you think about enhancing condor_q -analyze (and -better-
analyze) to support Scheduler Universe jobs?

One example from today is that it would have been helpful if condor_q
had informed a user that their DAGMan job was not running because the
expression START_SCHEDULER_UNIVERSE was evaluating to False, and
displaying the expression.

Note, this is related to an older ticket from 2007 where it might also
be nice to at least evaluate the appropriate START expression, i.e.,
[condor-admin #16017] LIGO: condor_q analyze support for Local Universe

Thanks.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I went ahead and added checking of START_SCHEDULER_UNIVERSE and
START_LOCAL_UNIVERSE in condor_q's job analysis. It's too late for this
to go into 7.3.2, which is likely to become the base for the 7.4 stable
series, so this change will go into 7.5.
