We are using Condor 6.8.1 pre-release, although I first noticed this in
Condor 6.8.0. It appears that "condor_history -backwards" doesn't work.
Any thoughts?

Right now, condor_history -backwards doesn't work with quill. If you
force it to work with the history file, it should go backwards:
condor_history -f `condor_config_val HISTORY` -backwards

the schedule to fix this, or is it considered a feature?
Are they any other related quill limitations that are not obvious?

We understand this to be a bug, but we haven't scheduled a fix yet.

I think you have run into the non-obvious one -- condor_history should
take a -direct flag, as condor_q does. Also, because of the polling way
that quill works, the database can be a little behind the live queue.
