Following the dramatic decrease in the cost-performance ratio of commodity hardware, a significant part of the computing resources of an organization resides these days on desks. As part of the IEEE CS Task Force on Cluster Computing (TFCC), this web site will serve as a host of information on how to build High Throughput Computing (HTC) environments that harness the ever growing power of these desktop resources while protecting the rights and needs of their interactive users. We hope to turn this site into a meeting point for the young and fast growing community of HTC researchers, customers and tool developers. Contributions, suggestions and comments are strongly encouraged.
