The Graduate Advising Committee advises all students in the academic track of the graduate program, approves their course plans, and evaluates satisfactory progress towards the degree. Each fall and spring semester during the registration period, every graduate student in CS who does not have a dissertation advisor needs to meet with a GAC member. Such students need to see a GAC member again during the semester in case of changes to the course plan. Students seeking deadline extensions or exceptions need to meet with the GAC Chair.
Below are the current GAC advisors; view the calendar to check their availability.
- Eric Bach (GAC Chair), Room 4391 CS
- Colin Dewey, 2128 Genetics/Biotechnology Center (directions to office)
- Michael Ferris, Room 4381 CS
- Ben Liblit, Room 6357 CS
